Dr. Manoj Shah has an illustrious journey marked with impeccable finesse, utmost clarity of intent, diligent endeavours and successful outcomes. He is someone who has redefined the achievement standards, yet what defines him is the admirable trait of utmost humility and passion in every aspect of his multifarious life.

Dr. Manoj Shah hails from Nairobi, Kenya. He is the Group Managing Director of Kingsway Group of Companies. He has the vision and execution prowess in managing annual financial returns exceeding $100 million. This effervescent persona has varied characteristic traits like customer-focused, result-driven, exemplary leader and moral supporter of country wide team of more than 1000 employees. Inspite of his hectic work schedules, the most noble aspect about his personality is to give back to society in manifold ways justifying the quote, ‘You are someone in this world but for someone you are the world.’

Dr. Manoj Shah is a renowned leader at the Lions Clubs International, the world’s leading service organisation. He was unanimously elected to serve a two-year term (2005-2007) as an International Director. His immaculate traits were utilised when he was taken on Board to serve as a Board Appointee in 2011 and 2015. He has been rendering his services every year at the global as well as local level. He is an acclaimed trainer and is instrumental in creating thousands of leaders across the organisation for a better future. He has been conferred the highest award of Lions Clubs International ‘The Ambassador of Goodwill Award.’

As the Chairman of M.P. Shah Hospital, Dr. Manoj Shah built a state of the art ICU, Maternity Ward, championed 3 more new wings. He has been instrumental in leading the hospital to a turnover of $ 15 million and sales height of 12% increase. He was active in starting the Lions Service Center in Kenya with the Lions Renal Unit, the Lions Dental Center and the Lions Hearing Center, and has successfully initiated the first LCIF Lions H.I.V. Aids Center for Children in Africa. He has also been involved in establishing the first Lions Eye Bank in Africa and is currently serving as the Vice Chairman of the Lions SightFirst Eye Hospital in Nairobi. He has been the pioneer and visionary leader instrumental in setting up the first two Lions Diabetic care centers in Africa. The blessings of the beneficiaries is the singular motivational source for the magnanimous Dr. Manoj Shah to keep working incessantly.

Rare accolades are bestowed on rarest of rare personalities. He was awarded with ‘Head of State’s Commendation’ from President of Kenya for outstanding and selfless contributions to the Community Welfare and Leadership. He was conferred the coveted ‘Honorary Doctorate of Humanities Degree’ by United Graduate College. The philanthropist Dr. Shah is a major lead gift donor of Lions Clubs International, personally donating over US$ 100,000. He is currently serving as Chairperson of the Automobile Association of Kenya Road Safety Council.

Spouse Jayna is the perfect support in all his inimitable accomplishments. The couple is blessed with two multi-talented daughters, Dr.Priyum now settled in United Kingdom and Soyum who assists Dr. Manoj in his business and social pursuits. Citius, Altius, Fortius is synonymous to the multitalented Dr. Manoj Shah.

Dr Manilal Dodhia in service to Lionism for 51 years continues to serve as an active member serving at every level.

Lion Manilal joined Lions club of Kitale as a Charter Member in the year 1967

In the year 1970, he moved to Mombasa to expand his business and he took
transfer to Lions Club of Mombasa Pwani

having served the club in various capacities, in the year 1983/84 he climbed to serve as the
Chairman of Lions Club of Mombasa Pwani during which year his club was declared as an outstanding club in the District,

The Leo Club of Mombasa Pwani was declared 47thtop out of 3600 in the world.

He expanded the Mtepeni Primary school which was named Lions Club of Mombasa Pwani School.

From the year 1984/85 up to 1995/6 He served the District in almost all capacities, as a District officer, Zone Chairman, Region Chairman, Vice District Governor, and served the highest office OF THE DISTRICT GOVERNOR in the year 1995/96 District at the time comprised Kenya, Uganda Tanzania Ethiopia and Seychelles with excellence.

He is a recipient of many awards at the club, District, International certificates and international President’s leadership awards. Including that of District Governor’s excellence award.

Manilal in Social work
In the year 1969 Manilal joined to serve as Chairman of the Visa Oshwal community Kitale, has served the Chairman and a trustee of the Oshwal community in Mombasa, and as the Chairman advisor, and served as a Trustee of Oshwal Education and Relief Board, which is the supreme council of Oshwal.

Manilal has served MP Shah Hospital as a Board Member, and now serving as The Vice-Chairman.

Manilal has served for many years the Lions Sightfirst Eye Hospital Board of Management and served as a trustee, he is now serving as The Chairman of the Lions Sightfirst Eye Hospital. Nairobi.

Manilal is serving as a Lions Ambassador to Unicef and Unep and has developed and managed many partnership projects with the UN and other agencies.

Manilal ventured in business in the year 1955 and has been highly successful in Retail, Wholesale, Distribution, manufacturing plastics, textiles, metal containers, foam mattresses, and has served on Boards of three Banks.

He served as a group Chairman on many business boards.

Manilal was happily married to Savitriben who left for heavenly abode, and are blessed with 2 daughters, a son who are all happily married and well settled, blessed with 6 grandchildren.
